General Giang affirmed that Vietnam attaches great importance to the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. He expressed his delight at witnessing the progress of Vietnam – India defense cooperation in recent times, which has been actively promoted by both sides, continuously expanded, and deepened in a substantive manner. The two sides have maintained regular and effective delegation exchanges, particularly high-level visits, consultation and dialogue mechanisms, personnel training, cooperation among arms and services, and participation in United Nations peacekeeping operations.
General Giang thanked Ambassador Arya for his active role in coordinating and advancing key areas of defense cooperation during his time in Vietnam. He voiced his hope that, in the period ahead, the two defense ministries would continue to implement agreed initiatives, thereby contributing positively to the further development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India.
The Minister also expressed confidence that Ambassador Arya, in any future position, would continue to excel in his responsibilities, reserve good sentiments for the people and the People’s Army of Vietnam, and further contribute to bilateral relations.
Ambassador Sandeep Arya, for his part, emphasized that defense cooperation between India and Vietnam has achieved significant results in recent years. These include training programs, experience sharing, cooperation among arms and services, delegation exchanges, and mutual naval ship visits. He underlined India’s readiness to share experience with Vietnam in applying technology and developing training cooperation and capacity-building programs tailored to Vietnam’s priorities and needs.

Looking ahead, Ambassador Arya expressed hope that both sides would continue to advance ongoing programs and projects while also exploring opportunities for cooperation in new areas of needs and potential.
