Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Hoang Kim Phung, Director of the VNDPKO, said it is the seventh time since 2016 that Vietnam and France have held the exchange of expertise in peacekeeping operations. The event has provided the hospital’s staff with more knowledge and experience in medical treatment in real conditions at the mission.
The Vietnamese participants, who will work for the level-one field hospital, were selected from the Engineer Corps, the Department of Military Medicine and the General Department of Logistics.
In addition to exchanging medical expertise, the two sides will discuss and share their experience in dealing with simulated situations and injuries caused by explosives while in action as well as cooperation in carrying out UN peacekeeping missions in the coming time.
