Congratulating Colonel Tseyenbalidir Batkhuu on the commencement of his tenure in Vietnam, Gen. Thang expressed confidence that the diplomat would effectively serve as a bridge to further promote bilateral defense cooperation. He affirmed that the leadership of the Vietnamese MND would provide its full support to help him successfully accomplish his mission.

Highlighting that Vietnam - Mongolia relationship is currently enjoying the strongest period of development since the establishment of the diplomatic ties more than 70 years ago, the Vietnamese defense leader noted that the elevation of bilateral relations to a comprehensive partnership in September 2024 marked an important milestone, providing direction for deeper, more substantive, and more effective cooperation between the two countries.

The host emphasized that based on the strong bilateral relationship, bilateral defense ties have continued to receive close attention from both sides and produced practical results in such areas as high-level exchanges and visits, delegation exchanges for study visits and recuperation, cooperation in education and training, United Nations peacekeeping, military sports exchanges, defense industry, and logistics.

Gen. Thang suggested Colonel Tseyenbalidir Batkhuu actively promote the effective implementation of the agreed areas of cooperation, with particular emphasis on priority fields such as exchanges of delegations at all levels, defense industry, training, United Nations peacekeeping, military cultural and sports exchanges, as well as other areas that align with the needs and capabilities of both sides.

Noting that the leadership of the Vietnamese MND has recently sent invitations to leaders of the Mongolian Ministry of Defense and the Mongolian Armed Forces to attend the third Vietnam Defense Expo, scheduled for December 2026, Gen. Thang expressed his hope that Colonel Tseyenbalidir Batkhuu would work closely with relevant agencies of the Vietnamese MND to advance this important area of cooperation.

Colonel Tseyenbalidir Batkhuu expressed his honor at being appointed as Mongolia's Defense Attaché to Vietnam. He highly appreciated the cooperative relationship between the two countries, and the two defense ministries, as well as Vietnam's growing role and standing in the region and the world.

The Mongolian defense attaché hoped to receive continued support and assistance from Vietnamese MND’s leaders and agencies and units in the military throughout his tenure. He affirmed his commitment to working closely with the Vietnamese side to implement the agreed cooperation contents, thereby enhancing the substance and effectiveness of bilateral defense relations.
