General Giang thanked the Mongolian Defense Minister for accepting the invitation to visit Vietnam and participate in the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), the 35th anniversary of the All-People’s Defense Festive Day, and the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024. He also shared his deep admiration for Mongolia's culture and traditions.

The Vietnamese defense leader acknowledged that, in recent years, Vietnam - Mongolia defense cooperation has been actively promoted, yielding practical results. The two sides have maintained delegation exchanges at all levels, enhanced high-level meetings on the sidelines of multilateral events, fostered cooperation in education and training and defense industry.

He suggested the two sides continue to foster delegation exchanges at all levels and expand cooperation in defense industry, education and training, U.N. peacekeeping operations, cultural exchanges, and military sports, along with other areas that align with each country’s needs, capacities, and interests.

For his part, Minister Byambatsogt Sandag congratulated Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense on the 80th anniversary of the VPA’s foundation day and the 35th anniversary of the All-people’s Defense Festive Day. He highlighted the positive cooperation between the two ministries in recent years across fields, including delegation exchanges, training cooperation, and cultural and artistic activities. He expressed his hope that the two ministries will continue to enhance their collaboration in a more substantive and effective manner, thus lifting the bilateral relationship to a new height.
