Addressing the ceremony to welcome home the delegation, Senior Colonel Tran Quang Tuan, Commander of Coast Guard Region 2, highly appreciated and acknowledged great efforts of the delegation and the crew of Ship 8002 to complete the China visit and exchange successfully.

During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation achieved all set targets, ensuring absolute safety in all aspects. The visit helped confirm the close cooperative ties and boost the coordination between the maritime law enforcement forces of the Vietnam and China Coast Guards.

The visit also laid a foundation for future exchange and cooperation between the two coast guard forces, thus promoting solidarity, mutual understanding and task performance cooperation among coast guards of the two countries.

Before the China visit, Ship 8002 participated in a joint patrol in the waters surrounding the Gulf of Tonkin demarcation line, the second of its kind in 2023.
