PANO – On May 31st, the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Vietnam held a ceremony in Hanoi to celebrate the 55th founding anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

Addressing the ceremony, Brunei Defense Attaché to Vietnam, Lieutenant Colonel Tarip Haji Karia, stressed that in recent years the Ministry of Defense and the Royal Armed Forces of Brunei have paid special attention to defense diplomacy. This aims to strengthen defense relations with ASEAN countries and beyond. The country highly appreciates the expansion of defense cooperation with Vietnam in various military and defense areas.

On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, congratulated the Royal Brunei Armed Forces on this special day.

The Vietnamese general held that relations between the Vietnam People’s Army and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces have grown more significantly in recent years. He strongly believed that with good will and high determination, bilateral defense relations would develop further in the coming time.
