MR4 Command extends greetings to Lao defense leader on Bunpimay festival

In the joyful atmosphere, Lt. Gen. Ha Tho Binh thanked the Lao Ministry of National Defense (MND) for supporting MR4 in fulfilling its defense external tasks.

An overview of the event

MR4 has also effectively implemented projects and models on animal husbandry and crop cultivation; constructed agricultural and medicinal herb processing plants; purchased agricultural products to help needy Lao people and border areas develop the economy, creating jobs, improving their living standards, contributing to the maintenance of political stability at the grassroots level.

The Lao MND has also directed and provided support to MR4's search and collection teams in searching for and repatriating Vietnamese martyrs’ remains.

MR4 Command extends greetings to Lao Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Khamliang Outhakaysone.

In the coming time, the MR4 Command hopes that the Lao defense leader and MND will continue to support MR4’s forces to effectively implement the tasks of economic development associated with defense and security consolidation. Also, it is expected that the Lao side will continue to direct relevant forces to coordinate with and support MR4’s search and collection teams in fulfilling their task during the 2024-2025 dry season and in the following years.

Senior Lieutenant General Khamliang Outhakaysone thanked the guests for the visit and Bunpimay greetings and highly appreciated the role and obtained results of the MR4 teams in Laos. The Lao defense minister hoped that the MR4 Command would further strengthen coordination in fulfilling economic development tasks coupled with national defense and security, accelerate the implementation of socio-economic development projects, and continue to support needy households in Houaphan, Attapeu, and Borikhamxay provinces.

On the occasion, the command paid a visit and extended Bunpimay greetings to Lt. Gen. Saichay Kommasith, Lao Deputy Defense Minister and Chief of the General Staff; and Lt. Gen. Vongsone Inpanphim, Lao Deputy Defense Minister and Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs.
