Division 968 visits Lao Division 4 on Bunpimay Festival
PANO - A working delegation from Division 968 of Vietnam’s Military Region 4, led by its Commanding Officer Senior Colonel Le Chien Thang, paid a visit to Division 4 of the Lao People’s Army on April 8 to extend greetings on the occasion of Laos’ traditional Bunpimay (New Year) festival.

At the meeting, the Vietnamese delegation presented gifts and extended best wishes to the Lao side on the occasion of the traditional Bunpimay festival. The guests wished that the friendship and cooperation between the two countries in general and two units in particular would further develop. The delegation also expressed sorrow over the passing of Khamtay Siphandone, the former President of Laos.
On this occasion, the two sides shared their achievements in military and defense tasks in 2024, along with updates on the socio-economic situation of both sides. They also identified key areas of cooperation for 2025, focusing on maintaining cooperation, sharing experience on training, combat readiness, regularity building, discipline observance, production, and unit building.
