PANO - On January 20, in Da Nang city, Rear Admiral Takahashi Toru, Deputy Commander of the Japan Coast Guard (JCG), together with commanding staff of the patrol vessel Akitsushima, representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam and the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang, paid a courtesy call on Major General Tran Quang Tuan, Chief of Coast Guard Region 2 Command.

In a sincere and open atmosphere, Major General Tran Quang Tuan expressed his delight at welcoming Rear Admiral Takahashi Toru and the Japan Coast Guard delegation on their visit and courtesy call.

Gen. Tuan emphasized that in recent years, the Vietnam Coast Guard and its Japanese counterpart have actively implemented many substantive cooperation activities, including delegation exchanges, joint training, and sharing of experience in maritime law enforcement.

Rear Admiral Takahashi Toru highly appreciated the capacity and professionalism of the Vietnam Coast Guard.
