Representatives attending the welcome ceremony at Tien Sa Port included leaders of the Da Nang Municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, the Da Nang Municipal Military Command, and representatives of the Department of Foreign Relations under the Ministry of National Defense.
During the visit, the chain-of-command of the Japan Coast Guard vessel will pay courtesy calls on leaders of the Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang, and the Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center No.2. Officers and crew members will also take part in cultural visits and exchanges in the locality.
The visit by the Japan Coast Guard vessel contributes to strengthening friendship and mutual trust between the two sides. It is in line with the policy of promoting the Vietnam - Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which was upgraded in November 2023.
