While visiting the martyrs’ remains search and collection team, the special working group offered incense in pay tribute to ten fallen soldiers whose remains were collected in the 2022-2023 dry season and visited the accommodation and working place of the team’s members.

The visiting delegates acknowledged and highly appreciated the team’s efforts and responsibility over the past time. They evaluated that the team’s members have overcome difficult working conditions and rough terrains to search, collect, and repatriate Vietnamese fallen soldiers home.

At the working session with Company 705, the deputy defense minister was briefed on the business’s operation over the past time. According to its Chairman Senior Colonel Bui Van Dai, International Cooperation Company 705 is an MR2’s defense and security enterprise. Stationed in a strategic area in the Northern region of Laos, the business is tasked with building a shared borderline of stability and comprehensive development and conducting foreign relation activities with Laos’ provinces and military units in the region.

The unit’s reports revealed that since 2022, the company’s personnel have overcome all difficulties and hardships to complete all production and trade missions, contributing to Laos’ efforts in building strong clusters of villages, developing economy, eliminating hunger, and reducing poverty. It has operated in line with the law of Vietnam and Laos, strictly carried out tax obligations, ensured absolute safety and an average income of VND 15 million/person/month for its workers.

Speaking at the meetings with the martyrs’ remains search and collection team and Company 705, Gen. Luong lauded troops and staff for their utmost efforts and high sense of responsibility, saying that they have completed both assigned missions and mass mobilization and foreign relation activities. He stressed that their obtained results have greatly contributed to strengthening the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, and friendship between the two militaries.

Earlier, the working group visited and worked with leadership of Oudomxay province of Laos, during which Gen. Luong hoped that the provincial party organization, authorities, and people would stay united and further obtain achievements and continue to facilitate the operation of Military Region 2’s units to strengthen the friendship and solidarity between the two peoples.
