The message was delivered to members of the contingent by Major General Pham Van Ty, Deputy Director of the Search and Rescue Department under the General Staff and head of the Vietnamese SAR contingent, while the contingent continued SAR operations in the Playa Grande area of La Guaira State on July 2 (local time). 

General Nguyen Tan Cuong praised the contingent's dedication and urged its members to build on the achievements already made. He emphasized that their mission demonstrates the foreign policy viewpoints of the Party and the State of Vietnam, contributes to strengthening the country's reputation and standing in global disaster response efforts, and reaffirms the longstanding friendship and strong Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela.

On July 2, the Vietnamese SAR contingent continued deploying multiple teams to search for victims still trapped following the twin earthquakes in Playa Grande, while expanding operations in response to requests for assistance from victims' families.

Speaking to military media at the disaster site, Maj. Gen. Pham Van Ty highlighted the close coordination between Vietnam's military and public security forces throughout the operation. He said the two forces have been sharing experience and working side by side with determination to race against time in the search for victims.
