PANO – During an official visit to Vietnam from Russia Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Senior Lieutenant-General Truong Quang Khanh, Deputy Defence Minister, received Mr. V.K. Dzirkaln, Deputy Director of the Russia Federal Agency on Military Cooperation, at the Defence Ministry’s headquarters on November 8th.
At the reception, the two chairmen of Vietnam and Russia’s Sub-committees on the Viet Nam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee for Military Technique Cooperation determination was re-affirmed to implement agreements signed during the visit to Russia of President Truong Tan Sang in July, the recent visit to Vietnam of Russia Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, and the 14th meeting of the Vietnam-Russia Committee for Military Technique Cooperation in October.
The two sides also agreed that their military cooperation is one of the important pillars in the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, drawing special attention of their top leaders.
In addition, General Khanh and Dzirkaln worked out some shortcomings in the two nations’ cooperation process over the past time in order to heighten the bilateral military cooperation’s quality and efficiency.
