Deputy-Defense Minister receives Chinese medical delegation
PANO – Defense cooperation is an important factor in the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and one of the pillars to strengthen the relationship between the two Parties and States.

The statement was made by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy-Minister of National Defense at a reception for a delegation from Medical Department under the Logistic Support Department of China’s Central Military Commission, led by its Director Major General Chen Jingyuan.
Welcoming the Chinese delegation, General Vinh affirmed that the cooperation between Vietnam’s and China’s militaries has witnessed fine development with strategic dialogues, delegation exchanges, border guard cooperation, joint patrols and the sharing of experiences in joining UN peacekeeping operations and he hoped that military medical units of the two countries will foster exchanges and cooperation to achieve practical results.
For his part, Major General Chen Jingyuan thanked the Vietnamese side for the warm reception and hoped to promote cooperation with Vietnam in specific fields to bring practical benefits to each military, accelerate young officer exchanges and expand cooperation among military academies, schools and units.
