The festival themed “Son Tinh – Thuy Tinh” (the God of the Mountain and the God of the Water) kicked off on May 15th with the participation of a hundred models.

The event featured twenty-five ao dai made of brocade, chiffon and embroidered silk.

Duc Hung is one of Vietnam’s top fashion designers. This is the 3rd year in a row he has been invited to the Ao Dai Festival in the US.

The US festival is held annually in honor of Vietnam's long traditional dresses which showcase various themes relating to folk traditions, such as “Hai Ba Trung” (Trung sisters), “My Chau - Trong Thuy” (a couple in a fairy story), and “Hon Vong Phu” (the mountain of the woman who is waiting for her husband).
