Dung added that amid the current global medical crisis, no single country could effectively contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Vietnamese official highlighted the importance of international cooperation and unity consolidation in protecting the health and safety of people, contributing to mitigating the great impacts of the pandemic.

Dung confirmed that Vietnam always stays ready to work closely, share experience, and join hands with other countries and the international community to take necessary measures within bilateral and multilateral frameworks such as the ASEAN-EU, G20 and the United Nations.

The participating ambassadors highly valued and sent deep thanks to the Government and people of Vietnam for their valuable assistance to their countries in this hard time.

They underscored that though Vietnam has been heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the country is willing to share resources, provide medical services, and create favorable conditions for foreign citizens in Vietnam over the past time, including medical treatment for infected people.

The ambassadors also pledged to closely coordinate and boost cooperation with Vietnam in protecting people’s health and safety, maintain cooperative relations and trade, share information, and offer mutual support to overcome the current crisis.
