Mr. Phuc held that the program was an important political event on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Lao Independence Day and the 95th birth anniversary of President Kaysone Phomvihane.
It will help Lao participants learn more about the past years of the late Lao President in Vietnam and the Vietnam-Laos time-honoured ties, as well as contribute to heightening their special relations and comprehensive cooperation.
For his part, Vilayvong Bouddakham underlined the whole-hearted support of Vietnam’s Party, State and people to Laos over the past time, and hoped that the revolutionary relics marking the Vietnam-Laos traditional ties would be continuously maintained and upgraded to become cultural centres to educate the two people on the bilateral friendship and solidarity.
* The same day, the Vietnam-Laos and Laos-Vietnam Friendship Associations and the delegation of Lao officials held a conference to highlight the activities of President Kaysone Phomvihane in Vietnam.
