Shinsegae to build hope toy library for children in HCM City

PANO - The Vietnam Children Protection Fund and Shinsegae Corporation, the parent firm of the Republic of Korea's (RoK) Emart hypermarket system in Vietnam, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a hope toy library for the children in Ho Chi Minh City on July 2nd.
According to this MOU, Shinsegae will construct the first hope toy library in Ho Chi Minh City with the total cost of VND 3 billion for construction, operation and maintenance.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Executive Vice President of Shinsegae Corporation Kim Goon Sun stated that “With the hope to join hands in building a better living environment for people, especially underprivileged children, Shinsegae is honoured to partner with the Vietnam Children Protection Fund to build Hope Toy Library for children in Ho Chi Minh City. The model of Toy Library is necessary to equip children with basic knowledge and skills for their future life and ensure their happy childhood.”
Operating for nine years in RoK with 36 libraries established since 2007, the hope toy Library project in Vietnam is the first community activity abroad with the voluntary contribution of more than 32,000 staff from the corporation. Similar library projects will be established in countries where the Emart hypermarkets are opened.
The first Emart hypermarket is expected to open in Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City at the end of 2015.
