PANO – On May 19th, the European Union Mission (EU) to Vietnam announced that since 2015, EU has assisted people hit by drought and saline intrusion in the Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta at a total cost of EUR 90,000.

This is part of the Emergency Fund aid package worth EUR 178,000 to help the Red Cross Society of Vietnam to support people in need.
The financial aid package aims to support 17,600 of those most vulnerable to climate change in seven provinces, including Ben Tre, Binh Thuan, Gia Lai, Long An, Soc Trang, Tien Giang, and Tra Vinh.
