VNDPKO boosts preparations for VINBAX-2019
PANO - A meeting was held on June 6 in Hanoi to discuss preparations for the upcoming India-Vietnam Bilateral Army Exercise (VINBAX-2019) by the Vietnam Department for Peacekeeping Operations (VNDPKO), related organs of the Ministry of National Defense and Indian side.

In his speech, Major General Hoang Kim Phung, VNDPKO’s Director, emphasized that the meeting aimed to seek consensus on technical issues related to the making of plans and preparations to ensure the successful organization of VINBAX-2019, a Vietnam-India sand table exercise on UN peacekeeping operations.
The meeting was also to help improve Vietnam’s capabilities of conducting similar exercises in UN peacekeeping operations, so that Vietnam could make good preparations for its peacekeeping forces to be deployed at any UN missions.
The meeting is hoped to contribute to enhancing the understanding, friendship and cooperation in UN peacekeeping operations between the two countries as well.
At the meeting, the participants discussed contents in line with the meeting’s agenda.
