Vietnamese agricultural machinery has been distributed in Tanzania since the beginning of 2019. The Halotel joint venture of Vietnam’s telecom group Viettel has also managed to find solutions to difficulties in its business activities here following the agreements reached between the two countries’ leaders.

Briefing participants, including Tanzanian officials, foreign diplomats, and representatives of international organisations and businesses, about Vietnam’s achievements in multiple spheres, the diplomat attributed those successes to the Vietnamese Party and State’s clear-sighted policies, the people’s solidarity and efforts, along with the precious cooperation and support from countries and peace lovers around the world.

He also thanked international friends for voting for the Southeast Asian nation to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for 2020-2021, affirming that it will exert efforts to fulfill its duties to help build up peace, stability and prosperity around the globe.

Doanh said besides T&T Group and Halotel, other large enterprises of Vietnam are also seeking business chances in Tanzania and other African countries. He expressed his hope that the Tanzanian Government and foreign diplomatic agencies here will popularise this intention of Vietnamese firms to their countries’ companies so as to help promote investment and business partnerships.

At the celebration, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Tanzanian Foreign Ministry Ramadhan Muombwa Mwinyi highly valued Vietnam’s development attainments as well as the new strides in bilateral links.

He once again thanked the Vietnamese Government and embassy for helping his country successfully sell the 176,000 tonnes of cashew nuts the Tanzanian Government had purchased in support of its farmers.

The official added he hopes that with its development experience, Vietnam will continue cooperating with and supporting Tanzania in economic development in the time to come.
