At the workshop, participating scholars delved into and exchanged views over five key topics – policy on external relations, socio-economic development, historical reality in the new era, cultural values, and language – literature.

Participants mentioned current challenges to maritime security and the high-tech agriculture trend amid international integration. They also compared Vietnam’s economic growth before and after 1975.

Analysing what had led to the victory of the August Revolution, Russian scholars said the event was a special and indigenous historical period of Vietnam.

Vietnam’s national values, challenges arisen from modernisation, religious situations in the 21st century, and COVID-19 fight were also put on the table.

A summary of the workshop was scheduled to be published in the first quarter of 2021.
