Vietnam condemns attack in Manchester, offers sympathy to UK
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has sent a message of condolence to his UK counterpart Theresa May over the explosion in Manchester on May 22 that caused many deaths and injuries.

On May 23, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang stressed that Vietnam strongly condemns any terrorist attack in any form and holds that all terrorist acts must be severely punished.
She also offered deep sympathy to the UK Government, people and families of victims in the attack.
The spokesperson said so far there is no report about Vietnamese nationals affected by the explosion, citing the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK.
She added that the Embassy is keeping close contact with local agencies to monitor the situation and is ready to provide support and protection measures in case any Vietnamese citizens need help.
