The Congress elected a new Executive Committee with 51 members. Huynh Quyet Thang, Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, was entrusted as the Chairman of the 5th term.
According to the report at the Congress, during the 2018-2024 term, the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association implemented numerous practical and effective activities, meeting the requirements of people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation, contributing to strengthening and enhancing the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria.

Highly appreciating the results of the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association's activities, Phan Anh Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, affirmed that in the past term, the association had made efforts to innovate its content and methods of operation to attract more resources to participate in people-to-people exchange activities between the two countries, thereby enhancing mutual understanding. Activities such as friendship exchanges, enhanced cultural understanding, and educational cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria have bolstered the implementation of the Party and State's foreign policy, reinforcing the nation's standing and reputation globally.
