Republic of Korea university helps Vietnam build smart cities
Five Vietnamese officials overseeing urban planning in Vietnam, led by Deputy Minister of Construction Phan Thi My Linh, visited the Republic of Korea from April 3-7 to learn about the planning of green cities.
The delegation has visited the U-City control center in Anyang city, a renewable energy centre in Seoul, and Sejong city’s new administrative centre.
They have also met with local officials from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
These were part of a training course on Green City Planning Decision Support System (GDSS) for Vietnam designed by Anyang University.
The course also included sessions on the conception of green smart city, urban planning master plan, infrastructure technology transfer, and legal framework.
The university said it will transfer technology to build green smart cities to Vietnam this year via the training for Vietnamese senior officials.
