Ho Chi Minh City to boost cooperation with RoK’s localities
PANO – Ho Chi Minh City increasingly accelerated ties with localities of the Republic of Korea (RoK) through economic cooperation and cultural exchange.
Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong made the statement on November 16 when receiving RoK’s Ambassador to Vietnam Lee Hyuk.

Chairman Phong said that the bilateral relations between Ho Chi Minh City and RoK’s localities achieved positive results as many cooperation agreements were signed over the past time.
Currently, the city and Gyeongsangbuk-Do province are co-organizing the Ho Chi Minh City–Gyeongju World Cultural Festival 2017, with the participation of numerous visitors and enterprises.
In turn, RoK Ambassador Lee Hyuk applauded the Vietnamese city’s efforts in holding the Ho Chi Minh City-Gyeongju World Cultural Festival 2017 successfully and stressed that the two countries’ relationship witnesses increasing development. He also hoped that the two sides would accelerate cultural and people-to-people exchanges in the time to come.
