Speaking at the event, Minister-Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam Yin Haihong said 2020 is a special year in the bilateral traditional friendship as the two countries are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic ties.

Over the past time, the two sides have cooperated in maintaining trade and investment activities and prepared economic recovery measures after the COVID-19 crisis.
The Chinese diplomat highlighted Vietnam’s effective prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic and emphasized that Vietnam and China have effectively cooperated in stopping the spread of SARS-CoV-2 in each country.
She thanked the Vietnamese side for assisting China in overcoming difficulties caused by the pandemic over the past several months.
Accordingly, the Vietnamese Party, Government, and people donated medical supplies, worth 500,000 USD, to China, while the Vietnamese Red Cross Society presented medical equipment, worth 100,000 USD, to the country.
In addition, Vietnamese provinces bordering China conducted different activities to help the Chinese people in their fight against COVID-19.
Concluding the conference, Minister-Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam Yin Haihong stressed the continuous development and expansion of Vietnamese-Chinese relations for the benefits of the people of the two countries and regional and international peace, stability, and cooperation.
