Both leaders underlined the political will of their governments to advance comprehensive cooperation and elevate bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership.

Al24news reported that PM Pham Minh Chinh laid a wreath and observed a minute of silence in tribute to the martyrs of Algeria’s War of Independence at the Memorial of the Martyr in Algiers. He also toured the national museum of the army, and viewed the Bay of Algiers from the memorial complex, which offers a panoramic view over the capital.

The online newspaper Echoruk Online likewise carried reports and photographs of the official visit, which runs from November 18 – 20. Other media outlets quoted a statement from the Algerian PM’s Office affirming that the visit aims to strengthen and further consolidate the friendly and cooperative relations between the sides, while promoting bilateral partnership across fields of mutual interest.
