Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung and Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Defense Minister, attended the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Jennifer Wicks thanked Vietnamese guests, foreign diplomats, and business leaders for their presence, noting that this demonstrated the strength, depth, and dynamism of the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
Highlighting the significant achievements since the two countries established diplomatic relations, the ambassador emphasized that the U.S.-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is built on a forward-looking agenda covering economy, trade, politics, security, law enforcement, healthcare, and education. She expressed her desire to boost cooperation with partners in Vietnam to realize these common goals.

For his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung congratulated the U.S. on its major achievements, expressing his belief that a prosperous U.S. will continue to actively contribute to peace, stability, cooperation, and development globally.
He expressed delight at the strong and comprehensive progress in bilateral ties since the normalization of relations in 1995, affirming that the Vietnam - U.S. relationship has become a model in international history for war-left healing and relationship building.

He underlined that Vietnam hopes to work with the U.S., a partner of top strategic importance, to further develop bilateral ties in a stable, substantive, and effective manner. Priorities include finalizing negotiations for a reciprocal, balanced, and fair trade agreement, alongside promoting breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, high-quality human resource training, and energy cooperation.
Minister Le Hoai Trung believed that with the solid foundation built by generations of leaders, governments, parliaments, and people of both nations, coupled with the strategic vision of both sides’ leaders, the Vietnam - U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership would continue to reach new heights.
