The 89th TIF, held from September 6-14, is the leading international trade exhibition in the Balkan region. This year’s fair brought together 1,100 exhibitors, including major businesses from Greece, the Balkans, and 19 other countries.

On this occasion, the embassy organized activities to introduce and connect Vietnamese enterprises participating in the fair with Greek partners, particularly in dried fruit products and labor supply.

Within the framework of the fair, Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece Pham Thi Thu Huong attended the opening ceremony of TIF 89, which featured an address by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. This was one of the important policy-oriented speeches that drew great attention from the local business community and political circles.

Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong also had a meeting with Greek Vice President Konstantinos Chatzidakis, where she introduced him to Vietnam’s booth at the Fair and highlighted the friendly relations and sound cooperation between the two countries, especially in the year marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The Vietnamese diplomat further met with Koukia A. Saranti, President of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises in Thessaloniki, to learn about demands and possibilities for business cooperation, particularly in building materials and agricultural products. Both sides agreed to organize a hybrid meeting, combining in-person and online participation, between the two countries' enterprises in the near future.
