Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong briefed on coffee development

The event offered an opportunity for Vietnamese localities and businesses to promote their products to domestic and international consumers, raising the values of the “Made in Vietnam” coffee in the international market.

A number of activities and seminars were organized in order to review coffee production models and projects, and find measures to sustainably develop Vietnam’s coffee sector.

On the sidelines of the Vietnamese Coffee Day, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong toured some local coffee production households.

Vietnam is currently the world’s second-largest coffee exporter, after Brazil. Last year, the country exported 1.8 million tons of coffee beans, worth $US 3.2 billion.
