Reference exchange rate continue to rise on November 22
The daily reference exchange rate continued to go up on November 22 for the third day in a row this week, standing at 22,733 VND per USD, an increase of 2 VND from November 21.
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,414 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,052 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks also rose.
Vietcombank raised both rates by 15 VND from November 21, listing the buying rate at 23,305 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,395 VND/USD.
The rates listed at BIDV went up 15 VND, to 23,305 VND/USD (buying) and 23,395 VND/USD (selling).
Both the rates at Techcombank also increased by 10 VND, with the buying rate at 23,280 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,390 VND/USD.
This week (November 19 to 23), the reference exchange rate was unchanged on Monday but has been on a rising trend for the next three days.
The rates at commercial banks have also gone up since Tuesday.
