Lam Dong durians not contaminated with the banned substances
PANO - No cases of durian contaminated with the banned yellow O and Cadmium substances were detected, according to the results of the latest inspection of packaging facilities and durian growing areas in Lam Dong province.
The information was revealed on May 26 by leaders of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment.

Previously, during the quality inspection of exported durian in the 2025 crop, the department examined five companies and one cooperative in the locality, namely Long Thuy Production and Trading Company Limited, B'LaoFood Company Limited, Bao Phuc Hoa Nam Company Limited, Inova Da Lat Agriculture Company Limited, Hiep Huyen Di Linh Company Limited, and Da M'ri Agriculture Cooperative. These entities are engaged in large-scale durian production and packaging for export.
According to the inspection results, both enterprises and individuals strictly complied with regulations on producing safe durian products. Functional agencies also collected samples for testing and did not detect any durian contaminated with the banned substance Auramine O (commonly referred to as yellow O), cadmium, or other heavy metals.
Lam Dong is one of the country's major durian-growing areas. This year, the total durian cultivation area in the province is estimated at 25,610 hectares, with a projected harvest of more than 176,000 tons.
