HCM City launches Internet of Things startup competition
The Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) launched the 2017 Internet of Things Startup Competition (IoT Startup 2017) on March 25.
The competition, the second of its kind, will be held in four places, namely Hanoi, Da Nang, HCM city and Can Tho City, from April to October, 2017. It is expected to discover and assist outstanding projects.

Entry projects will receive assistance from international and domestic technology companies in developing inceptions, sample products, quality assurance, and calling for investment.
The IoT Startup 2017, with the theme “Connected Devices” called on registrations in numerous fields, including smart city, house automation, energy saving, smart agriculture, security and health.
The prize pool of the competition is worth 100 million VND (4,400 USD), with a half of the amount goes to the first prize winner.
In 2016, the competition lured the participation of over 400 developers with 70 projects.
