The German-flagged vessel ESHIP 1 docks at Trung Nam Ca Na International Seaport in Thuan Nam district, the South-central province of Ninh Thuan.

This marks the first time Enercon has shipped equipment to its partners and projects via the seaport.

The arrival of this first wind power equipment shipment signaled the seaport’s infrastructure readiness and its entry into a new phase of development, aligned with Vietnam’s adjusted National Power Development Plan VIII.

To serve the implementation of the revised national power development plan for 2021–2030 with a vision to 2050, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has proposed the establishment of two inter-regional renewable energy industry and service hubs, one of which will be based in Ninh Thuan. Accordingly, Trung Nam Ca Na will continue to be upgraded to handle ultra-heavy cargo and is expected to become a key service gateway for the offshore wind power sector.

With a total investment of 5.6 trillion VND (214.1 million USD), the port is currently completing Phase 2 of the Ca Na terminal, aimed at increasing capacity for handling oversized and heavy cargo.
