PANO – This is the main topic of the signing coordination ceremony for a campaign, “Building new rural areas”, between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations in Hanoi on October 4th.
The agreement aims to gather local scientists and promote technological research in every economic sector for technology transfer and scientific information dissemination on agro-forestry-seafood, in contribution to building new rural areas.
Besides, the two sides will study and improve policies of developing sustainable agriculture and building new rural areas in combination with conducting agricultural science and technology programs and assessing their impacts on agriculture and rural development projects.
In addition, they will also work together to promote and heighten farmers’ awareness and ability, as well as mobilize scientists and social organizations to join hands for the “Building new rural areas” campaign.
According to Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat, the National Target Program on New Rural Development needs active contributions from social elements, especially scientific and technological advances.
