Viettel’s IPv6 adoption rate reaches 25%
PANO – The Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) has an (Internet Protocol version 6) IPv6 adoption rate of around 25%, accounting for 22% of the IPv6 adoption rate in Vietnam.
The information was revealed by the national committee for the IPv6 application development of the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications at a meeting to review the IPv6 development in 2018 and roll out missions for 2019, on March 5.

According to reports at the event, the military business and the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) are two major businesses with great contributions to the development of the IPv6 in Vietnam.
At present, Vietnam ranks 13th in the world and second in the ASEAN region in IPv6 deployment with more than 14 million users.
By last December 2018, the IPv6 adoption rate in Vietnam had reached 25.85%, exceeding 20% of the set target.
The IPv6 has provided addresses for millions of internet users.
