Reporting to the deputy defense minister, Chairman of MB Cambodia Dinh Quang Huy said that MB established a 100%-owned bank in Cambodia on the ground of its branch in Phnom Penh in December 2011. After 11 years, MB Cambodia wishes to expand its business operations to provide products and services to customers who are Cambodian businesses and individuals, Vietnamese businesses in Cambodia and Vietnamese people living and working in Cambodia.
With the approval from the Vietnamese Government and National Bank of Cambodia, the Public Bank Ltd. (MB Cambodia) was founded and officially put into operation at the beginning of this year.
Currently, MB Cambodia has focused on promoting lending products and services, production and business, international trade finance, etc., contributing to raising the living standard of Cambodian people and Vietnamese in Cambodia, and boosting economic trade between the two countries, especially import-export activities and exchange of goods.
Along with providing services for Cambodian enterprises, MB Cambodia has intensified cooperation with Vietnamese firms in Cambodia, particularly the Cambodian branch of the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) – Metfone to enhance the position and role of Vietnamese firms and military ones in the country.
Concluding the working session, Sr. Lt. Gen. Vu Hai San expressed his delight at the remarkable outcomes obtained by MB Cambodia, highly appreciating its creativity and dynamism during tough times.
He required leaders of MB Cambodia to pay more attention to building and developing high-quality human resources, keeping close eyes on development potential of the Cambodian market, ensuring the marker’s transparency, circulation, and change, and maintaining reputation in the international arena.
