The official highlighted strong developments in the relationship between Vietnam and Brazil since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1989, with two-way trade reaching USD 3 billion in 2016, 1.5 times higher than that in 2013.
Echoing Liem’s views, Carlos Brandao said with similarities in culture and weather and soil conditions, Ho Chi Minh City and Maranhao state have a lot of potential cooperation areas like agriculture, trade, tourism and investment.
During his stay in Ho Chi Minh City, Carlos Bradao is scheduled to attend the Vietnam-Brazil Trade Forum co-organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)’s chapter in the city, and Maranhao state.
