Viettel head coach Heinz-Jurgen Gede said that he would give his younger players an opportunity to play, replace players affected by suspension and injuries.

He revealed, "From the last match against Ulsan we hope to learn how we have to play, and find the right moment to dominate the game. It won’t be easy, but we will try everything. We also have to change some players, but I’m sure the players will play with 100 percent of their power. We will also put on some young players tomorrow, and we don’t have an issue about that,” he added.

Both sides met in their group opener almost two weeks ago, where Viettel almost held the defending champions to a goalless draw before Lukas Hinterseer scored from close range in added time to steal the win.

It would be disappointing if the team was beaten again by Ulsan, but Gede stressed that he was happy with his team's resilience in their continental debut.

"I don’t think we have an issue with motivation. We are still excited to play, and we need to learn, especially the young players. This is their first time playing here and we’ve given them confidence."

The match between Viettel FC and Ulsa Huyndai FC will take place at 9:00 pm on July 8 at Pathum Thani Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
