Viettel FC plans to defend its title in V. League 2021 season
PANO - Viettel FC plans to defend its V. League championship and reach the final of the National Cup, according to President and General Director of Viettel Group Major General Le Dang Dung at the launching ceremony of the V. League 2021 season, on January 14.
Also, Viettel FC will play hard to deserve to be a representative of Vietnam and pass the group stage of the AFC Champions League.

For the youth football tournaments (from U13 to U21), Viettel FC will strive to advance to the semi-finals for the third time in most recent five tournaments. Especially, U17, U19, and U21 Viettel will try to finish in the Top 3.
Besides, the number of Viettel players chosen for the national youth football team increased by 11% compared to the previous year.
To prepare for the new season, Viettel FC has signed a contract with Pedro Paulo, extended its contract with Venancio Caique and Luiz Silva Walter, and hired a new Uzbekistani player.
Moreover, Viettel FC continues to seek players to consolidate the club and ensure the team’s talent to be a top team in Vietnam.
General Dung added that the V. League championship 2020 has changed people’s minds about Vietnamese football and sparked hope of a championship among all Vietnamese football teams.
For its excellent performance in the V. League 2020 season, a group and 10 individuals of Viettel FC were honored by the Minister of National Defense.
At the launching ceremony, representatives of the Military Bank and the Defense Economic Technical Industry Corporation handed over VND 2 billion and VND 500 million, respectively, to Viettel FC.
