Thousands join "BIDVRUN - Cozy Tet for the Needy" charity run
PANO - On November 12, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) launched the "BIDVRUN - Cozy Tet for the needy" charity run simultaneously in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and over 20 provinces and cities nationwide.
BIDV's Deputy General Director and Chairman of the bank's Trade Union Tran Phuong, who is also the Head of the run’s organization committee, emphasized that BIDVRUN is one of the charity runs that attract the participation of numerous athletes, contributing to improving health and connecting bank employees, customers, partners, etc., to jointly fulfill social responsibilities. 2023 marks the 5th consecutive year BIDV has organized the run, and the achievements over the past 5 years have reflected the determination and contribution of all participants, he stressed.
Over the past 5 years, the BIDVRUN run has attracted nearly 300,000 participants, covering almost 16 million kilometers, converting into approximately VND 60 billion in fund contributed to social welfare programs. To celebrate the 5th anniversary, on the launch day of the run, for each valid kilometer, athletes will contribute VND 5,000 to the Tet (lunar New Year) gift programs for the needy.
The "BIDVRUN - Cozy Tet for the Needy" run this year is organized in 22 days, from November 12 to December 3, 2023.
