Over 8,000 runners join 5th Pocari Sweat Run Vietnam
PANO - On November 3, the 5th season of Pocari Sweat Run Vietnam in 2024 took place in Ho Chi Minh City, gathering over 8,000 domestic and international runners under the theme "GO for the BETTER."

Participants competed in four race categories, namely 3km, 5km, 10km, and 21km, striving to reach new personal bests while promoting physical and mental health and encouraging a positive lifestyle. Previously, the 3km and 5km races took place on November 2 afternoon.

This year’s race route included various "green roads" in Thu Duc city (Ho Chi Minh City) such as Nguyen Thien Thanh, Tran Bach Dang, Bui Thien Ngo, Tran Quy Kien, Mai Chi Tho, and part of Ba Son Bridge (for the 21km course). Runners also passed parks and the scenic banks of the Saigon River. Besides the main race, participants enjoyed various interactive activities and games at the event area.

At the award ceremony, the organizing panel honored outstanding male and female runners in each category. Ly Nhan Tin took first place for the men’s 21km race, and Nguyen Thi Thuy Van claimed first for the women’s. In the 10km race, Truong Van Tam and Pham Thi Thuy Hanh secured the top spots in the men’s and women’s, respectively.
Additionally, the organizers donated VND 150 million to several local funds, including the Fund for the Poor, the Sports Talent Fund, and the Book Street Fund, reflecting their commitment to supporting the local community.
