Outstanding coaches and athletes honored at the event

The event was also to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the traditional day of the sports and physical training sector and towards the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) and the 12th ASEAN Para Games (ASEAN Para Games 12).

Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism affirmed that the program is an important event not only to honor typical athletes and coaches, but also to review the development of the Vietnamese sports over the years as well as map out important tasks for 2023 and the following years.

On the occasion, the organizing panel honored 10 outstanding athletes and coaches; 8 excellent athletes and coaches in sports for the disabled in 2022. They were voted by sports journalists through the "National voting of typical athletes and coaches in 2022" program which was announced previously.

At the launch of Olympic Run Day

Also on March 19, the ministry launched the Olympic Run Day for Health of the entire People in 2023 with the participation of thousands of people, including leaders, employees, coaches of the sports and physical training sector as well as Hanoi citizens.
