Vietjet currently operates multiple routes connecting Vietnam with key Indian destinations, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Ahmedabad (Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport), Nedumbassery (Cochin International Airport), and Tamil Nadu (Tiruchirappalli International Airport).

Regarding adjustments to flight paths to Europe and South Asia by Vietnamese airlines amid disruptions to international air traffic caused by the Pakistan - India conflict, Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) Uong Viet Dung noted that flight coordination in such cases involves aviation security considerations. The Immigration Department (A08) under the Ministry of Public Security is expected to issue recommendations on the matter shortly.

Meanwhile, Vietnam Airlines has announced adjustments to its flight paths and operations between Vietnam and Europe to ensure safety for passengers and crew. The move followed the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan’s announcement of a temporary closure of its airspace starting at 2:55 a.m. on May 7, 2025 (Vietnam time).

Internationally, airlines such as Thai Airways, Korean Air, EVA Air, and China Airlines have also modified flight operations as tensions in South Asia escalate following the latest developments between India and Pakistan on May 7.
