At this stage, the athletes cycled from Thanh Hoa city (Thanh Hoa province) to Vinh city of Nghe An province. Nine cyclists from Ho Chi Minh City successfully secured their leading position, leaving behind the yellow jersey holder Huynh Thanh Tung from Military Region 7 team.

Near the finish, strong cyclists sped up and the cyclist to hit the finish line first was Le Nguyet Minh from Minh Giang-Ho Chi Minh City team, followed by Le Van Duan and Mai Nguyen Hung, both from Vietnam USA Society English-Ho Chi Minh (VUS-HCM) City team.

With its members’ high results, the VUS-HCM City team won the first prize in the group category at this stage.

Le Nguyet Minh successfully defended his green jersey while Huynh Thanh Tung continued wearing the yellow jersey. Military Region 7 team maintained its top position for the group category after six stages.

At the awarding ceremony, a representative from Ton Dong A presented 25 scholarships, worth VND 2 million each, to needy students with good grades and studying records in Nghe An province.

On April 4, cyclists underwent the longest stage of the tourney, stretching 199km from Nghe An to Quang Binh province.
