Sai Gon Development and Investment Joint Stock Company (SDI), on October 23rd, started construction of a golf course, housing, entertainment and sports service complex in An Phu precinct, Urban District 2, Ho Chi Minh City.

The complex, consisting of a 18-hole golf course, a 193-apartment residential area, two buildings with 132 flats and penthouse units, a 7,000 sqm multi-purpose sports center, a 5,000 sqm spa area, a hotel and apartment area for lease, will be run by Norfolk Group.

Reportedly, the golf course and residential area will be completed by late 2012 and 2013.

According to Nguyen Thanh Hoang, Head of the SDI’s Board of Directors, the complex will cover a total area of 115 hectares with an estimated investment capital of around VND5,000 billion. SDI will employ about 800 workers for the construction of the project and around 1,000 others once it is put into full operation.
