VTV Binh Dien will play China’s Jiangsu in the final game of the ongoing sixth international volleyball tournament in Hau Giang province.

In a tense and dramatic game on February 25, VTV Binh Dien pulled off a spectacular comeback to defeat Vietcombank 3-2, earning a place in the final.

In the first two sets, Vietcombank girls outperformed their opponents, with libero Nguyen Thi Xuan (11) consecutively scoring points.

However, VTV Binh Dien’s liberos Ngoc Hoa (9) and Anaseini (17) performed well in the following three sets, helping their team come from behind to outclass Vietcombank 29/27, 25/22 and 15/9.

In the second semi-final, the young girls from China’s Jiangsu, who are in good physical form, outplayed defending champions Lienviet Postbank 3-2 to enter the final.

The final game will take place in the evening of February 26.

The 9-day tournament has attracted 8 teams, including four from Australia, China, Thailand and the Republic of Korea. It has a total prize value of US$30,000 and the winners will receive US$12,000 in cash.
