Khoi finished second in the men’s 400m IM clocking 4:25.38, his personal best.
Their results were much better than the Olympic B standards but not enough for them to take an official place in the coming games in Rio de Janeiro.
Phuoc however receives a wildcard from the International Swimming Federation and becomes the second Vietnamese swimmer at the August event.
This tournament is part of the Vietnamese long-term training plan for future tournaments in 2017 and 2018 when Vietnam take part in key competitions such as the Southeast Asian Games and the Asian Games.
