A collection of 64 poems of Vietnamese famous female poet Ho Xuan Huong, who lived in late 18th century, has been translated into the Romanian language and published by the Qilinul din Jad Publishing House in Romania.

The 150-page bilingual work was completed by former Romanian Ambassador to Viet Nam Constantin Lupeanu and his wife, Mira Lupeanu.

The authors based their translation on the original script in Nom characters (Vietnamese words written in Chinese characters), as well as other translated versions in English and French, and many cultural and historical researches of the period when the "Queen of Nom poems" lived.

Many poems in the collection also included illustration and explanation of meanings.

C. Lupeanu, who served as Romanian Ambassador to Viet Nam from 2000 to 2004, also translated "Diary Written in Prison" of President Ho Chi Minh.
